Head Start SMS Terms & Conditions

Family Resource Agency (“FRA,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) offers SMS text messaging services to parents and guardians of children enrolled in our Head Start programs. These messages are intended to provide important program-related communications regarding a child’s participation.

By opting in to receive SMS messages from FRA Head Start, you may receive text messages related to:

• Weather-related closures or delays
• Enrollment and documentation reminders
• Appointment reminders
• Upcoming events and family engagement activities
• Schedule changes
• Program updates or other important notices concerning your child’s participation

Messages are informational in nature and are not promotional or marketing messages.

Message frequency varies depending on program needs and time of year. Parents and guardians can generally expect to receive approximately 2–6 messages per month, though frequency may increase during enrollment periods or emergency situations (such as weather closures).

Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. FRA is not responsible for any charges incurred from your mobile carrier.

Parents and guardians opt in to receive SMS messages by providing their mobile phone number during the Head Start enrollment process and consenting to receive text communications related to their child’s participation in the program.

You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you send STOP, you will receive a confirmation message that you have been unsubscribed. You will no longer receive SMS messages from FRA Head Start unless you re-enroll.
